A little while ago, the Pfaff Autoworks team collaborated with the PFAFF Leasing team finalizing their purchase of a 2000 Porsche 911 C4 as our PFAFF Budget Race Car build.  It was an excellent find as the 996 C4 had only travelled 113,400kms in its lifetime but did come along with a few bumps and bruises on the front end.   But we won’t let that discourage us as we are fortunate to have the Autoworks team work their magic in restoring the body and removing unwanted weight off the car.

Immediately after taking delivery of our build, meetings were scheduled every other week and we got right into building our Action Items and the disassembly stage to prepare the car for the paint booth.

It’s amazing how fast jobs get completed with a team of people being focussed on our goals.  This felt like a Chip Foose “Over-haulin’” show.  From start to finish on the disassembly to sanding, the car was ready to get prepped for paint in about 4 – 5 hours.

The team had excellent synergy and I personally saw how focused everyone were and quick to complete their tasks!  I also witnessed a few cases of mentoring where the professionals were training and educating others on what they do in their daily roles to prep the car properly, which certainly was what this project was all about.

At this point, the team was working like a McDonald’s operation line. I just stood back to document the process and watched the magic happen.

A picture is worth a thousands words, so I will let the pictures do the talking.  Our next phase is to get the car through to the paint booth and re-assembly will take place along with some mechanical modifications.
