The BMW Club of Canada, Trillum Chapter runs four Advanced Driving Schools throughout the year, catering to all experience levels: novice, intermediate, advanced and solo students. The club offers expert, personalized, one-on-one instruction sessions both in-car on-track and in the classroom. The first was held this past weekend, April 28-30, at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Between the classroom and the track, students learn to hone their car control skills on the skidpad, and then students rotate through four 30-minute rotations of each type of session per day – which makes for a very varied and engaging event. As the event’s major sponsor, Pfaff BMW was present with a display of BMW vehicles, including the new M235i Racing, available for purchase or rent, and participated in the on-track sessions. The M2 with M Performance exhausts and other carbon goodies, and M3 enhanced by Pfaff Tuning with an Akrapovic exhaust and Forgestar wheels, were a hit with participants.

The event was exciting, highly educational and lots of fun! Saturday included a guided track-walk reviewing each famous corner up close and personal – just like the pros do.

The highlight of Saturday evening was a catered dinner, including raffles for BMW Lifestyle merchandise donated by Pfaff BMW, as well as a full dose of camaraderie, before heading off for some well deserved rest and another full day of excitement on Sunday!

We had a great time at the track with the Trillium chapter, and are looking forward to our next event with them, a “show and tell” featuring the M235i Racing and its street equivalent, to be held at Pfaff BMW on May 25.
