On Saturday August 20th, we had the chance to attend the Ron Fellows Karting Championship taking place at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

This event consisted of nine different classes and a total of over 180 drivers of all ages. Pfaff Motorsports was one of the title sponsors for the event and proudly presented the award for “Pfaff Driver of the Day.” This award was presented to two drivers, one junior and one senior, for the excellent performance, commitment, and display of passion and sportsmanship.

For the junior class, a driver named Mackenzie – only in his second year of racing and one of the youngest drivers in his class – had an incredible weekend by finishing second in the largest class of the day. The senior award was given to Taegan Poles, who had a truly dominating performance in each race and secured the fastest lap in her class.

Needless to say, the determination and commitment displayed by each driver caught our attention and deserved recognition. The overall passion and talent demonstrated by all the amateur racers is truly incredible, ultimately validating the conclusion that there will be no shortage of excitement in the future of Canadian motorsport.
