It’s been a whirlwind trip for guests on the inaugural Pfaff Monterey travel experience. In five packed days, they’ve experienced the best the automotive world has to offer, with exclusive test drives of the world’s best cars, access to great car events, and the camaraderie and good cheer that can only come from travelling with a small group of like-minded individuals.

The trip culminated today with a visit to the world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, a historic celebration of the world’s most beautiful automobiles. Held on the eighteenth hole at Pebble Beach – arguably the most beautiful golf course on the planet – this exclusive event brings together about 200 of the world’s most beautiful and fully-prepared cars, with celebrity judges and an appropriate level of pomp and circumstance.

Unlike many car shows, where you see the same cars year in and year out, Pebble Beach’s organizers change up the invited categories every year to ensure repeat visitors always have something novel to see, and educate themselves about.

Features this year included the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40’s first win at Le mans, the 50th anniversary of the Lamborghini Miura, Bizzarini, and great pre- and post-war sports/racing cars.

There was also BMW’s centenary; highlights of that display included several rare race cars and Elvis Presley’s 507, restored at the factory by BMW Classic.

In addition to being granted access to the event itself, Pfaff guests also enjoyed superb hospitality in the McLaren Brand Centre, where they met McLaren executives, and head designer Frank Stephenson. As a way to wrap up an incredible automotive week, it couldn’t have been better.

While the Monterey travel experience is complete – at least until next year – several other travel experiences involving great automobiles are still available.
