A freshened Audi A6 is on the way
The connoisseur’s choice in the midsize luxury-sedan class has been updated for the 2016 model year. The new Audi A6, arriving in our dealerships shortly, comes with new engines, transmissions and headlights, plus a new infotainment system, making this sophisticated sedan more efficient, more powerful, more attractive and more stylish than ever. The V8 turbocharged S6 is also packed with numerous new features.
Inside and out, the design of the new A6 models feature sharper lines with a horizontal emphasis, making them look lower and wider. Careful evolutionary changes have been made to the single-frame grille, the headlights, air inlets, bumpers, side sills, rear lights and tailpipes.
The sinewy style of the exterior is echoed in the car’s spacious interior. Every detail communicates the uncompromising quality familiar to Audi drivers. The front seats are available with optional ventilation and massage functions, but the controls remain simple. MMI touch with navigation is standard, and has a power-retractable eight-inch screen.
An optional driver assistant package includes adaptive cruise control with a stop & go function. Audi side assist, which uses radar to check behind the car when changing lanes, works closely together with Audi active lane assist, which prevents unintended lane changes.
The engine lineup for the new A6 includes three TFSI units, including a 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder with 252 hp, a 3.0 TFSI with 333 hp and a 4.0 TFSI in the S6 with 450 hp. A 3.0 TDI with 240 hp is also available. Quattro all-wheel drive is standard equipment on all models.
Deliveries of the new A6 family will begin shortly. The base price for a 2.0T begins at $56,900; a 3.0T is $63,700; a 3.0 TDI is $66,100 and an S6 is $88,500.
