TORONTO, ON – October 1, 2010 – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today reported September sales of 14,563 Toyota and Lexus cars, trucks and SUVs. This included 13,258 Toyota models and 1,305 Lexus luxury vehicles.
The recent trend in favour of trucks and SUVs continued in September with truck sales at 7,329 units – a new September record, beating the previous September truck sales record by more than 800 units. Canadians also continued to embrace new model offerings in September, including the Toyota 4Runner, Toyota Sienna and Toyota Avalon.

• Toyota RAV4 up 18.7% for best-ever September
• Toyota 4Runner up 677.4%
• Toyota Avalon up 141.7%
• Toyota Sienna up 92.9%
• Toyota FJ Cruiser up 21.4%
• Toyota Tundra 4x4 up 19.1%
• Toyota Tacoma 4x4 up 12.8%
Scion launched in Canada on September 28, 2010. Vehicle deliveries are underway and first full month sales will be reported at the end of October 2010.
