Pfaff Motorsports August Update

The Pfaff Motorsports team was in Montreal on August 18th to compete at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in round 13 of the Canadian Touring Car Championship. The qualifying round on Thursday afternoon saw Jeff Pabst post the 13th fastest time in the Super Touring class while PJ Groenke was 5th fastest in the Touring class.

Race day was hot and would take its toll on the field! Montreal is a fast track with drivers using full throttle for long periods of time on each lap. As the race started, Jeff and PJ settled in and began moving up the field. As expected, the heat and the speed of this track started taking its toll and cars started to suffer mechanical problems.

When it was all said and done, Jeff finished 7th in class and 10th overall -- our best finish of the season for the new A5! PJ cruised home to a 4th place finish overall and gained some ground on 3rd place in the championship battle.

The team will now prepare for the last two races of the season at I-car just north of Montreal on Sept 9th and 10th.
